LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles African-American Guide is now available to download at www.discoverLosAngeles.com/meetings. This unique publication provides a thorough review of African-American history, attractions and contributions to the City of Los Angeles. The guide, was published in late summer 2011.
“The Los Angeles African-American Guide highlights many of the unique and varied African-American dining options, nightlife, hotspots and African-American heritage attractions throughout the City,” said Michael K. Krouse, senior vice president, sales, for LA INC. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau. “This timeless guide, which was used by the NAACP during its convention held in August of this year, can be used many times over for African-American groups planning to meet in Los Angeles.”
The Los Angeles African-American Guide features articles highlighting African-American contributions to architecture throughout the City of Los Angeles, dining and nightlife hotspots, African-American personalities on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a sampling of events that take place throughout the year celebrating African-American culture. The Guide also features an in-depth article, Los Angeles Reinvents Itself, written by Soloman J. and Gloria M. Herbert, publishers of Black Meetings & Tourism magazine, which includes African-American heritage attractions and neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles.
